1. Where deflection is the reference, emotion as our own idea being born can’t help happening.
Where deflections are dismissed (this being the subconscious while there is this first condition, the conscious), emotion as perception can’t help happening.
Conditioning, then, is to build a sufficiently complete reference volume of deflections in the subject’s memory. Cover the spectrum of perception with seemingly irrefutable surrogates that bend the subject in the direction of exploitation, as the exploiter and the exploited. He grows in “importance”, “recognition”. (as elaborated under 2. below)
The reference work of deflections is sufficiently complete when, like the first crocus in the thawing soil of spring, a self sprouts from it into the Privacy afforded by having no sense of emotion as emotion evolved to be: emotion as perception (as per second paragraph, above).
(Clearly, when we refer to deflection the emotion is what is deflected, and thus the emotion seems to begin with this self as what this self wishes to do, how it wishes to relate.
When emotion can’t begin with oneself —due to either voluntary, or involuntary transparency: deception expertise— , it also can’t begin with anyone else; and this dictates quite irresistibly that harmony be the universal priority. Instinct isn’t stupid.)
The illusory inspiration for this event (sprouting the self) is that deflection, assumed to be reality, is susceptible to mockery. One can conjure a “person” to affect, “who” is just like these “real” people, and also pretend to be in order just like this “real” order.
A “wormhole” to a universe where one is a master despite all the pain, disadvantage and insult endured to date.
2. Exploitation deprives us of the joy of innocence (aka ‘evolution’: the little duck and the big duck are both innocent, and having a wonderful time), reducing us to a contrived fear of being denied our adopted vices.
“Being good”, as ET advocates, may be fine for kids, but for an adult it is agony! Which is for living this life of the self, the behavior “inspired by” the sum of deflections.
We become the confederates of our own exploitation when we have assumed that growing competence in the various matters of our culture reflects that this culture is order, and therefore is not the insanity we perceived with our eyes innocent.
This progress is daily rather than annual. Possibly the rate is far shorter than daily, short enough for one twin to outwit the other.
This cumulative confederacy is a vital factor in understanding Human Behavior, and not merely a remark.
It’s also typical hostage behavior: Become a good kidnapper and the duress of your situation is mitigated, and you eventually cease to view it as captivity. —one life ends with becoming trapped, and another opens up: Bang, Bang, another one bites the dust.
A girl of seven, telling her mom about this problem of beginning, says, “What comes first, lying or believing a lie? You can’t feel like lying until you can’t feel that you were lied to, which is when you believe a lie.” That’s probably better than my version, but wasted on the mom.
